The Atomos Ninja V has been a staple amongst video shooters wishing to work with Apple’s ProRes RAW – which isn’t surprising considering it supports pretty much every mirrorless camera out there capable of providing RAW over HDMI. But now it’s seen a new update to provide it with h.265 recording abilities. The Ninja lineup also sees a couple of new additions today. The first is the Atomos Ninja V+, capable of shooting both 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video in ProRes RAW....

It was only October when the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens went up for pre-order, and they only started shipping a month or two ago. But already, they seem to be working on a new one, according to a patent uncovered by Canon News. The current model RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM is like many zoom lenses. When you spin the focal length dial one way, the lens gets longer and when you spin it the other way it gets shorter....

Canon, like just about every other manufacturer, is facing camera shortages. Back in March, they announced a list going over those shortages and what we’re going to have to wait for. The bad news is that list still exists and rather than keep posting new announcements each time, they’re just updating the old one. The new list still contains a number of products, and some of those products remain the same, although there are some new ones....

It wasn’t too long ago that we thought carbon fibre was the answer to all of our tripod woes. A material that makes our tripods lighter and stronger at the same time. But according to new startup, the Colorado Tripod Company, that’s not the only material from which tripods can benefit. They’re planning to incorporate titanium, too. The company is launching a new titanium ballhead and tripod through Kickstarter. There are also aluminium versions of both, along with a slightly unusual style “open” ballhead (the one pictured above)....
