This lesson was learned by three individuals in San Francisco recently after attacking photographer Peter Muller. Muller had taken a couple of photos of an accident that had occurred to send to a friend over Snapchat who was out of town. Muller says the accident was due to a taxi driver falling asleep at the wheel....
Traveling for thousands of miles without money, paying for food and accommodation with nothing but your photography. It sounds like a great adventure, but also like a scary task full of challenges. Australian photographer Edwina Robertson did it. She recently finished her 3-month trip around the most rural and regional areas of Australia. She dove for 27,000 kilometers (17,000 miles), trading her photography for food and accommodation. Her dog Jordie was her only companion, and she shared with us some photos and details of this amazing journey....
While covering clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Islamic State militant group in Syria, Italian freelance photojournalist Gabriele Micalizzi was severely injured. He was photographing the conflict in the village of Baghuz on 11 February 2019 when shrapnel hit him. Well, it looks like Panasonic might have also had an announcement originally planned for today, too – which was no doubt delayed for the same reason as Sony once somebody realised the significance of the date in Japan and China. The listing shows a pre-order price of $1,799 for the new lens – I told you it wouldn’t be cheap – along with a release date of August 24th. ProGrade Digital has announced its new CFexpress Type A cards. At the moment, this means that their only real competitor is Sony and their target market is Sony shooters. The new cards offer read speeds of up to 800MB/sec, with sustained and burst write speeds of 400MB/sec and up to 700MB/sec respectively for high-resolution video capture. CFexpress Type A is larger than microSD but smaller than regular-sized SD cards. It’s also smaller than the more standard CFexpress Type B, which is essentially a drop-in replacement for XQD....
