Canadian photographer Barbara Cole turns ordinary into extraordinary using only water, her camera, and imagination. You already met her through her beautiful underwater portraits. In her latest series Appearances, she took flowers and gave them a whole new look, turning them into watercolor-like images. Like most of us, the coronavirus pandemic forced Barbara into isolation. Since she couldn’t work with people, she turned to flowers in an attempt to connect with loved ones and others....

It’s standard practice for commercial photography clients to ask photographers their ‘day rate’. Most estimates that photographers provide start with a day rate before going on to production costs and expenses. Earlier this year, Volvo was sued by a photographer whose photos they used, but also by the model who was in them. In its attempt to get the court to throw out the case, Volvo has caused fierce reactions from the public. They claim that, as long as Instagram photos are public, they’re free to use them and share them. To remind you of the story: photographer Jack Schroeder and model Britni Sumida initially filed a lawsuit against Volvo in June this year....

The Nose on El Capitan is arguably one of the most famous routes in rock climbing. First climbed in 1957 in 45 days, it remains a formidable stomping ground for climbers who want to become legends.
