As soon as 1080p became standard, they started pushing 4K. Now that 4K has become more accepted, it’s time for 8K. It was only a year ago that 8K would cost you $77K. But now the new Fran 8K brings that entry price all the down to below €8,000....

Those of us who develop ourselves typically throw the empty film canister away when we’re done. Perhaps we’ll keep one from a roll of something a little rare now and again. Hillvale, an independent film lab in Melbourne, Australia, however kept everything. Since opening shop in 2013, Hillvale have been saving the 35mm film canister from each roll of film that’s been brought in to them for developing. Last year, they developed their 50,000th roll....

There seem to be a lot of very fast lens options these days, even for full-frame cameras. Very few are them are coming from the long-established big-name companies like the camera manufacturers themselves or even Sigma and Tamron, but there are a lot of manual focus ones coming from some of the newer Chinese lens manufacturers.
