Fuji Re Issues Warning Over Fake Camera Batteries And How To Spot Them

Fujifilm has updated their warning on counterfeit Fuji camera batteries that are currently floating around on the market. The warning was first issued back in 2015, letting people know that they should be using legitimate Fuji batteries and that the forgers are illegally using their logo and don’t conform the safety standards of Fuji’s own batteries. Fujifilm Apologises For Colour Negative And Slide 35Mm Film Shortage And It May Not End Soon

Fujifilm has posted a notification on its website apologising for the lack of availability of its 35mm colour negative and reversal (slide) film. They expect that things will be pretty tight for a while due to the availability of raw materials. Fuji cites some specific films in its apology and says they’re currently taking measures to help “ensure a stable supply of products” as quickly as they can. Getty Files Copyright Suit Over Stolen Photo Resale Scheme On Facebook

Getty Images has filed a copyright infringement suit against Ohio man, Walter A. Kowalczuk for allegedly downloading as many as 3,400 high resolution images from Getty’s servers without permission which he then resold through a private group on Facebook. According to PDN, Getty’s claim against Kowalczuk, filed June 8th in US District Court in Cleveland, states that he and other members of the group allegedly bought and sold images using codewords for the sources of those images, such as “Spaghetti” for Getty and “Apples” for Associated Press....
