Bald Eagle Flies Off With A Gopro Thinking It S A Piece Of Salmon

Animals stealing cameras is quite entertaining. They don’t really do it on purpose. They often just mistake it for something else. Food, usually, or… a mate. Sometimes they are just curious. This particular footage, though, shows an animal one doesn’t often interact with. Bald eagles. On this particular occasion, glacial researcher Matt Beedle was in Juneau, Alaska. Photographing the eagles from afar, he attempted to coax them in to land with some scraps of left over salmon....

Can A 600 Godox Ad600 Compete With A 2 100 Profoto B1 Surprisingly Yes

Here is something I did not see coming. Photographer Robert Hall did a full comparisson between the $600 Godox AD600BM* and the $2,100 Profoto B1. While you’d think that the Profoto will nuke the AD600, this was not the case at all, and in most parameters it either won the battle or stood up fairly well. There was one exception to that, and I think that it’s one of the main reasons that the B1 is so0 much more expensive....

Canon Dslr Destroyed By Leafcutter Ants In Overnight Wildlife Shoot In The Amazon Rainforest

As it turns out, the local leafcutter ant population had very different ideas. After chewing up much of their protection measures, the ultimate demise of the electronic equipment was caused by the weather. The video, posted to the Jungled Diaries YouTube channel back in February, just goes to show that even if you have shot wildlife for years, and produced work for the likes of National Geographic and Discovery Channel, as Jeff has, nature always presents us with new challenges that we must overcome....

Canon Is Still Working On Focal Length Reducing Speedbooster Adapters

Canon has been working on their own focal length reducers. Lens adapters commonly sold under “speedbooster” or similar names, these adapters translate a larger projection circle, like that from a full frame lens, to the smaller sizes needed by APS-C and smaller sensors. Now, a new Japanese patent discovered by Canon Rumors shows that Canon has filed patents covering at least four more reduced optical formulas. Such “speedboosters” (and the reason they got their name) is that they come with the benefit of effectively increasing the maximum aperture....

Canon S Upcoming High Resolution Eos Rs Mirrorless Camera May Come With Ibis

One of the biggest grips about the original Canon EOS R and the EOS RP mirrorless cameras, along with only one card slot and the 4K crop, was the lack of in-body image stabilisation (IBIS). Canon’s word on the subject was basically that they didn’t feel their IBIS tech was at a point yet where it was worth implementing. They just weren’t happy with it. Canon promised it was going to be coming at some point in the future to EOS R cameras, though, and now that future seems to be close if Canon Watch is correct....
