Before I going into this one, let me first lay a little groundwork for the background I have with Apple. A number of years back, I was in love with the iPhone 4S. I felt it was a phone made for photographers and supported it wholeheartedly, going so far as doing speeches at Apple stores about how their products catered to my workflow. Back in 2014, Nikon issued a technical service bulletin over “dust” issues with the D600 DSLR. It was an issue that Nikon initially seemed to deny existed but then replaced the D600 with the D610 less than 13 months later. But then, shortly after that, in February 2014, Nikon finally admitted there was a problem with the D600 and issued the service advisory offering free repairs – even if the warranty had expired....

Nearly two months ago, we dove into the Nikon Z7 and showed you what was happing inside all the way down to the sensor. Today, we did the same with the Z7’s standard resolution counterpart, the Nikon Z6. At 25 megapixels and just under $2000 MSRP, the Z6 is encroaching on the Sony A7 III’s turf. Unfortunately, it’s very common that photos published online get stolen and used without permission. But a recent report by Copytrack shows just how common it is. According to this report, more than 2.5 billion images are stolen worldwide every day. Copytrack has recently published its 2019 version of the Global Infringement Report. It used data collected over the course of one year, from December 2017 to December 2018. According to two studies from IMGembed and Copytrack, there are around 3 billion images shared on the internet every day....

Panasonic has now officially announced the new GH5 Mark II, along with development of the GH6. And while we’ve already seen all of the GH5 Mark II specs and know exactly what it looks like, let’s go over the differences vs its predecessor anyway, and talk about what little they’ve told us of the GH6 so far that they say will be introduced later this year. The GH5 Mark II, Panasonic says, has been designed to address the latest issues of live video, with “built-in industry-leading wireless live streaming capability and high video performance”....
