Hubble Captures Images Of Unusual Fluffy Galaxy

This week the Hubble telescope has captured a galaxy that NASA has described as “an oddity“. The catchily named GAMA 526784 is an ultra-diffuse galaxy which according to NASA “appears as a tenuous patch of light”, or ‘a bit fluffy’ in layman’s terms. The ‘fluffy’ galaxy is part of the Hydra constellation of stars and is around 4 billion light-years away from Earth. NASA writes that this type of galaxy has “a number of peculiarities”....

Hubble Helps Detect And Measure The First Lonely Black Hole In Our Galaxy

Astronomers estimate that there are 100 million lonely black holes drifting through our galaxy. Despite such a huge number, they’re virtually invisible and extremely difficult to detect. But now, for the first time in history, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has managed to help scientists to identify one of these lonely wanderers. They used Hubble’s data to identify and even measure the mass of the black hole wandering through our galaxy....

Since I got my Nikon D7000 camera 6 years ago I’ve used it almost everyday. That is a lot of shutter clicks, 148,558 to be exact. So it looks like I will be in the market for a new camera soon as the D7000 is only factory tested to 150,000 clicks. My dilemma is should I go full frame, or stick with my cropped frame. I keep asking myself, is a full frame camera really worth it?...
