Sony Fixes Data Loss Lockup And Memory Card Issues With New V2 1 Firmware For The A7Iii And A7Riii

Sony recently pulled Firmware v2.0 for the Sony A7III and A7RIII that was released in October due to the discovery of two fairly major bugs. These bugs would cause photographers to lose RAW images they’d shot along with random lockups of the camera. Well, now, Sony has released firmware v2.1 to resolve these issues. It also seems to fix a compatibility problem with certain memory cards. They don’t call SanDisk out by name, but they do cite “specific third-party memory cards”....

Texas Institutions Can Use Your Copyrighted Photos For Free Court Rules

After the University of Houston used a photo by Jim Olive without permission, the photographer decided to sue. However, Texas appeals court has now ruled out that the University doesn’t have to pay the photographer for the use of his image. As a public institution, the university claims that it has sovereign immunity, so it can’t be sued. The story goes two years back. The Sigma Fp Now Supports 120Fps Prores Raw Blackmagic Raw Hdr Video And Cinemagraphs With New Firmware

Sigma has released firmware 2.00 for the Sigma fp mirrorless camera. It’s a major firmware that adds some significant features to the camera, including external ProRes RAW recording to the Atomos Ninja V up to 120fps, as well as BRAW recording to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G. It also now offers internal raw recording with 12Bit CinemaDNG at up to 30fps at 4K and 100fps at 1080p. As well as all the new raw video options, the new firmware also brings cinemagraph creation and playback, HDR video, Zhiyun Weebill S connectivity, dual ISO (100 & 3200), and a bunch of other improvements and new features....
