World Cup fever is officially upon us, but it’s not usually the players who resort to bizarre behaviour. One pitch-side photographer went viral during the UK versus USA match yesterday when one cheeky player used his outfit as a towel to wipe his sweaty hands on. USA’s Weston McKennie left viewers perplexed when he approached the photographer before a long throw and used him as a paper towel. The game culminated in a 0-0 draw, and was apparently not too exciting to watch....

It’s long been known that Facebook strips the metadata from photographs and other images that are uploaded. I’ve never seen an official answer from Facebook as to why they do this, but the leading theory seems to be one of privacy. With 136,000 images being uploaded to Facebook every single minute, that’s a lot of potential GPS and other private information. But it does also total up to a lot of potentially wasted storage space, too....

Google Earth lets you explore our world in three dimensions. In its latest update, Google has added a whole new dimension to the tool – time. From now on, you can see time flying in any corner of the Earth and witness the change it went through between 1984 and 2020. In some parts of the world, this change is impressive. But in the others, it’s devastating. “Our planet has seen rapid environmental change in the past half-century — more than any other point in human history,” writes Rebecca Moore, Director of Google Earth, Earth Engine & Outreach....

Man, Fuji rumour mill has been going nuts over the last couple of days with Fujifilm X-T4 leaks. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around them all to see how things are shaping up, and which leaks and rumours seem to be the most reliable and thought I’d try to compile them here in one place. Bear in mind, though, these are leaks and rumours. Until we hear an official announcement from Fuji, there are no guarantees....
