Great news for kids and teenagers whose parents won’t quit posting embarrassing photos of them – Google is now allowing under 18’s to request the takedown of images of themselves from Google searches. Google has cited it as a ‘safety feature’ and anyone can begin the removal process by entering the URL’s of any images they want to remove from search results, the search terms, and names of the minor and name of the parent or guardian acting their behalf....

After showing us a few teaser images, and ahead of tomorrow’s announcement of what is expected to be a new medium format mirrorless camera from Hasselblad, images and info have been leaked. It seems every time a new camera is about to be released, somebody somewhere always slips up and lets content out online before they’re supposed to, although it’s rarely the manufacturer themselves. Photography reatiler K&M Camera in New York let this one slip through, which would confirm that it is indeed the world’s first mirrorless medium format camera, with a price tag of $8995....

Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) has announced its selection of the best gear for 2020. It ranges from cameras and lenses, all the way to accessories such as smartphone lights, memory cards, and even prints. TIPA has been around for nearly three decades. Founded in 1991, it’s composed of many member publications in the photo and imaging field, both print and online. According to TIPA, its publications “cover the full range of the industry, including consumer, professional, business-to-business, and fine art photography and imaging....

I’ve tried various things over the years, I’ve tried to hide them in drawers, Velcro ing them to the wall or under a desk, it has always ended up in the same mess....

Created from 105 individual exposures taken over many hours, “New York Transitions I” captures the dawn of a new day in New York City. I wanted to portray the magic of the skyline at both nighttime and daytime in a single image so I planned to create a VAST photo that transitioned from night to day as you move from left to right in the image. Furthermore, I wanted to create the photo at a special time when the city looked particularly radiant, so I waited for a snowstorm to gild the city in white… Heavy clouds thick with snow blanketed the sky on an unusually cold morning....
