It’s inspiring to see talented kids devoted to developing their talent. Since I love photography, I find it especially heartwarming to see the young ones who are passionate about it. Robert Irwin is one of these kids. The 13-year-old son of “The Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin is a devoted photographer, and despite his young age, his work is really good. While he also takes photos of landscapes and cities, you can probably guess that his main passion is wildlife....

Regular as clockwork, every year, Apple announces their new products and mobile operating system updates. And that includes their line of watches. The new WatchOS 5 comes with new dynamic faces. Designed to work with the Apple Watch Series 4, these new faces are not CG as we might first think. They were actually made using practical effects. The new faces include Fire & Water, Vapour and Liquid Metal. They can be configured in numerous ways, and animate when you raise your arm to look at your watch....

The world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera (no caveats required) is now… space’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera? Sigma UK teamed up with Sent Into Space to send a pair of Sigma fp cameras (each attached to a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art) into the upper atmosphere – one shooting stills and the other shooting video – to capture the view from around 100,000 feet. The video begins with the launch of two balloons, each setting off at a slightly different time....

Sony has today announced their newest lens, the Sony FE 20-70mm F4 G lens for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras. It offers a versatile focal range as a general walkabout lens with a constant f/4 wide open aperture throughout. Sony says it offers “impressive Sony G Lens image quality” with high-speed accuracy and tracking AF, with a design optimised for maximum mobility and operability. The new lens, they say, is “redefining the standard zoom in our G lens category to meet the needs of today’s content creators”....
