Now that Instagram has transformed into a short-form video platform geared towards creators and influencers looking to go viral, where do we hobbyists and enthusiasts share our photos and find other photographers? It’s not Flickr: the user base isn’t mainstream enough. It’s not Twitter either: that’s mostly topical posts like news and opinion. Discord isn’t really a social network, but a group chat. And Facebook is a joke. It’s Tumblr. (Wait, hear me out)....

When I saw this video pop up on my feed, I instantly recognised the camera – despite its logos being covered up. It’s the Panasonic G85. Or the Panasonic G81 in Germany. Or the Panasonic G80 for pretty much everybody else. And when I read the title of the video, I immediately concurred. You see, I bought three of these last year and in my opinion, they’re fantastic little cameras. It’s fair to say that almost all Instagram users are peeved at the crazy drop in engagement lately.
