Samyang brought autofocus into their range of lenses not too long ago with two new Sony E mount lenses. The 14mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4. Now, in a recent interview with Focus Numerique, Samyang head of product planning, Jeong Min Shin says that more are to come. In the interview, he talked about some of the decisions and compromises that had to be made with the new Sony lenses. But he also suggested that Nikon and Canon autofocus lenses may not be too far away....

Something came to my attention recently thanks to some feedback from close friends. Well, we have an answer to that. Capture the Atlas has published the results of its annual northern lights photo contest. And yes, it’s just as you assumed: the selected photos are beyond beautiful! For its fifth contest, Capture the Atlast has selected the 25 best aurora images captured around the world. And due to a solar storm, this year people have been able to see the northern lights even in New York and parts of the UK....

It’s official, the leaks were legit, and the DJI Mavic Air is here. But now we have the final specs and details, and it looks pretty impressive. It’s almost like DJI actually listened to the collective sigh of disappointment when the Spark was rumoured last year and decided to give people exactly what they wanted. The EU has a new data protection law, the so-called GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation, or as we Germans like to call it: “Datenschutzgrundverordnung” (Gesundheit!). The rules took effect on May 25th and so far it’s pretty chaotic: in the EU we cannot reach some newspapers in the outside world because they cannot comply with the new rules. A guy in Austria is using the law to file $8.8 billion dollar lawsuits against Facebook and Google....
