The Federal Aviation Administration has just released its 20-year forecast predicting what may happen in the world of aviation between now and 2039. It covers a number of topics from international and domestic travel to commercial aircraft and UAVs. Of particular note is that the commercial drone market appears to be expanding rapidly. In fact, they expect it to triple in size by 2023. They also say that consumer drone demand has “slowed considerably” and that they expect it to continue doing so....

Announced last month, the Mavic Air is the newest drone from DJI. It fits in between the Spark and the Mavic Pro in DJI’s lineup, but what are its key selling points? We had the chance to speak with DJI about the new drone this week at The Photography Show. Astronomers have unveiled the first image ever of Sagitarrius A* (Sgr A*), the enormous black hole at the centre of our own Milky Way galaxy. The image was created by a global research team called the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration, using observations from a global network of radio telescopes. The image is important and long-anticipated. Scientists had previously recorded stars orbiting around something invisible, compact, and very massive at the centre of the Milky Way....

I see the ideas in my dreams, when I read a magazine, when I’m out for a walk, or pretty much anywhere. I have learned that ideas are everywhere if you just allow yourself to see them. When I get the idea I see it in my head as a “flash”....

It looks like Fujifilm takes weather sealing of its lenses very seriously. Steve Boykin of 35mmc recently lost a Fuji XF 23mm f/2 lens during a hike in the wilderness, firmly believing that he’d never find it. However, he did find it four months later, which is pretty incredible on its own. But what’s even more unbelievable that the lens is almost intact and it still works perfectly fine! Steve writes that he had looked in the area before, but wasn’t able to find the lens he’d lost....
