Irix, the Swiss lens manufacturers are branching out into new products besides lenses. The natural extension to lenses is filters. While Irix lenses do come with rear filter holders, you often need them on the front. Things like polarisers and graduated NDs are impossible to work with when sandwiched between the lens and body. So, to tackle this issue, Irix have today announced a new 100mm filter holder system. The Irix IFH-100 is a dedicated adapter designed to hold 100mm wide filters....

I guess the Japanese don’t see 13 as an unlucky number, seeing how the latest rumour on the Ricoh Theta SC2 is that that Friday, 13th December is when it will begin to ship. An official announcement is expected tomorrow, the 19th, with pre-orders opening up at that time. What we do have though, are leaked photos and some specs for Ricoh’s upcoming new 360° camera. Overall, though, it leaves me feeling a little bit underwhelmed....

Model Mayhem, favorite among many creatives, has recently redefined its membership structure. Starting from this month, they have limited many perks they used to offer with the free account. This, in a way, forces you to pay for membership, at least if you want to reach more people and find more work. Nanlite has announced its newest addition to the PavoTube family; The PavoTube II 6C. It’s a rather modest 25cm long T12 (3.8cm) diameter RGBWW tube light weighing in at only 260g. Behind that modesty, though, is a pretty impressive set of features. The PavoTube II 6C boasts a CRI of 95 and TLCI of 97, with a variable colour temperature from 2700-7500K and green and magenta adjustments in CCT mode. In HSL mode, you get access to 36,000 possible colours from across the RGB spectrum....
