Fujifilm have announced an update to the mid-range model in their rangefinder styled mirrorless lineup. The new Fujifilm X-E3. It comes with the 24MP X-Trans III sensor found in the X-Pro2. This brings it in line with other models like the entry level X-A3 and recently released X-T20 and X100F. Fuji are also releasing two new lenses. One for the X system, and one for GF medium format. The X-E3 shoots 4K UHD video, or 1080p at up to 60 fps....

Fuji Rolls Back Recent X T2 Firmware To Address Malfunctions

It was only just over a week ago that Fujifilm announced the version 4 firmware for the X-T2. Much anticipated by X-T2 owners it adds internal F-Log 4K video as well as 120fps 1080p shooting. Now, though, due to “malfunctions”, Fujifilm has put out a new firmware, v4.01. But instead of fixing the issues, it essentially rolls the camera back to version 3. Fuji writes in a press release… They say that they have discovered malfunctions in the firmware that causes raw files to be interpreted incorrectly by the Fujifilm X Raw Studio, random live view flickering and occasional camera freezes....

Fujifilm Patents 28Mm 32Mm And 35Mm F 1 0 Lenses Are They Expanding Their F 1 0 Lineup

Fujifilm has patented three new lenses, the Fujinon XF 28mm f/1.0, Fujinon XF 32mm f/1.0 and Fujinon FX 35mm f/1.0. That’s three lenses with big wide apertures for ultra-low-light shooting and a shallow depth of field that a lot of Fuji shooters would love to get mounted to their cameras. The patent explains that there has been a demand in recent years for lenses with wider apertures as well as the issues with creating them....

Godox Expands Its Range Of Zoomable Bowens Mount Leds With The New Sz200Bi

Only last month, Godox launched the first in their range of “SZ” zoomable LED lights, the SZ150R. This was also Godox’s first RGB Bowens mount LED. Now, they’ve followed it up, expanding the SZ range with a new SZ200Bi. As the name suggests, it’s a 200W bi-colour LED, offering a colour temperature range of 2800K-6500K with a 97+ CRI and 96+ TLCI. As with the SZ150R, the SZ200Bi runs on 100-240v AC power, so this isn’t a portable light, and offers multiple control methods including the onboard UI on the back of the light, DMX, the RC-A6 remote or the Godox Light smartphone app....
