I more than often hear landscape photographers complaining about “bad” weather and then say it’s chugging down. Honestly, I don’t know what they’re talking about. I thrive in stormy weather. Rain, strong winds, and what can sometimes be a bit of a problem, low hanging clouds – yes it’s next to nearly impossible to keep your camera dry, it’s next to nearly impossible to keep the lens clean and it requires extra energy to keep up the spirit – but “bad” weather is not bad weather, it’s amazing....

An employee at B&H Photo’s Human Resources department recently shared posts on social media that openly opposed the Black Lives Matter movement. A day later, he was “removed from his position,” according to B&H. PetaPixel received screenshots of posts from two B&H employees, both being openly against the growing movement. The first employee writes “I proudly oppose the Black Lives Matter movement. You should too.” The second employee’s posts are way more aggressive....

It’s been a bit of a journey since the last major release of DaVinci Resolve. Resolve 16 came out almost two years ago, at NAB in April 2019. Finally, last November, Blackmagic announced that Resolve 17 was being released as a public beta, letting us get our grubby little mitts on the newest version to have a play and see what we could break. Today, Blackmagic has announced that DaVinci Resolve 17 is now out of beta and sees its first final release....

Let’s face it, the attached camera was pretty much the only decent feature of Google Glass. It’s also a feature that raised quite a few privacy concerns. I’ve been a huge fan of the Arduino for quite a few years now. It allows me control cameras and lights in ways that would be otherwise impossible. As an open source project based on the Atmel AVR microcontrollers, compatible boards come in all shapes and sizes now. One such incarnation is the Adafruit Trinket, a tiny Arduino clone based on the ATtiny85. It’s extremely small, and ideal for projects like this one....
