Fujifilm has announced its new entry level mirrorless camera. An update to the popular X-A2, the new camera comes with touchscreen, a 24MP sensor, and 60fps video. It’s a respectable little update to the X-A2. The changes seem very few, but they are very nice changes. The market this line is aimed at is obvious. With an LCD that flips up 180 degrees so you can see yourself when stood in front of it, the clues are less than subtle....
Panoramio has been one of my go-to location scouting tools for quite a while now. It’s an invaluable resource which combines Google Maps with user contributed imagery. Each of these images are GPS tagged, showing the exact spot at which they were made. Its design makes it fantastic for finding hidden gem locations nearby, or for checking out areas you’re visiting before you go. With a history dating back to 1851 and over 125 Pulitzer Prizes under its belt, the New York Times has amassed a mountain of photos. Between five and seven million of them. They’re all stored in the “morgue” under their Times Square office. Packed into countless drawers and cupboards, they’re now working with Google to digitise the entire collection. Google says that many of these photos have been stored in folders and not even been looked at for years....
For a drone surrounded in so much controversy, you think they’d rename it the GoPro Drama. From long release date delays, to falling out of the sky, and the inevitable recall, it’s not had a good time. GoPro even got to the point where they were giving away free GoPro Hero5 Black action cameras to Karma owners to convince them to return them. GoPro have now issued a press release, though, that the Karma is set to be re-released at some point during 2017....
