It turns out that May is National Photography Month and to celebrate, Canon USA have revealed a few current consumer trends in the world of photography. Consumers are showing more confidence behind the camera than ever, claiming that 80% of them rate their photography skills as “good to excellent”. It certainly goes some way towards explaining why the general public tend to undervalue professional photographers. As more and more images are being uploaded to social media, the desire to capture, share and save memories is clearly on the rise with 24% of consumers saying that they shoot up to around 300 photos per month....

Photography scams are not uncommon. New ones seem to be appearing regularly, and old ones just never seem to die off. Usually, they’re in the form of an email or a text message. They offer to overpay you, then request that you pass along payment to some other vendor. You do so, their cheque bounces, and you’re out a bunch of money. Canon users should get out the balloons this coming March and join in the celebrations of 35 years of Canon’s EOS system! The EOS label includes both interchangeable cameras as well as its entire fleet of interchangeable EF and RF lenses. Canon first launched the EOS system in March 1987 with the EOS 650 Single Lens Reflex camera and EF lenses. It was the first fully electronic mount system and represented the dawn of a new generation of Auto-focus SLR cameras....
