The year is 2004, and Nikon has just announced their latest flagship 35mm SLR, the Nikon F6. Matt Granger, who I’m surprised wasn’t wearing a “That Nikon Guy” t-shirt for this, has managed to get his hands on one. So, he’s posted up a review. Strangely, despite the fact that he says it’s 2004, he’s managed to shoot the review in 4K. Of course, it’s not really 2004. Film isn’t quite dead yet (it does smell a bit funny, though) and the F6 did not go on to destroy the impending oncoming digital storm....

When Edelkrone released the 3D printable FlexTILT Head 3D a couple of months ago, it was met with a largely positive response. The idea that we can spend $30 on something and print a few components rather than $150 is huge to a lot of photographers and filmmakers working on ultra-low budgets, as well as hobbyists. Sure, you need to buy a 3D printer, as Angus Deveson at Maker’s Muse points out in the video above, but you can get a basic 3D printer DIY kit and the bits from Edelkrone for close the cost of the original FlexTilt 2....

It looks like finally making mirrorless cameras isn’t the only thing the big two DSLR manufacturers are finally capitulating on. After recently hearing that Nikon was planning to add IBIS to an upcoming flagship Nikon D6 camera, Canon Rumors is reporting that Canon’s next generation of DSLRs will be getting it, too. Suggestions that Canon were potentially planning to implement IBIS in a DSLR started to appear last October. Then, just last week, Northlight Images updated its Canon rumours and info page with a new IBIS-related patent....

There isn’t really much about this lens that we didn’t already know, except for the surprisingly low $499 price tag, thanks to last month’s leaked specs, photos and video but Venus Optics has now officially announced the new Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO “CA-Dreamer” lens. The lens was expected to be announced on May 23rd, although that seems to have been delayed until today. This full-frame lens is available in several mirrorless mounts including Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Leica L....

Facebook’s controversial “Instagram for kids” got under the spotlight again. The company’s own internal report has shown that Instagram has been causing mental-health problems in teenagers, especially girls, including even suicidal thoughts. After the report has leaked, Democratic lawmakers have started calling on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg again to drop the project. The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that Facebook was well aware of the harm Instagram could cause to teenage girls....
