Nitecore has announced its “World’s First Smart Battery” for Sony, the Nitecore NFZ100. It’s a drop-in replacement for the Sony NP-FZ100 used in the Sony A7 III, A7R III, A7R IV and A9 mirrorless cameras. At least, it is if Sony doesn’t make 3rd party batteries impossibly impractical to use again. As a “Smart” device, the new Nitecore Smart Battery talks to an app on your phone; Nitecore NNERGY. The app will be available for both iOS and Android and lets you monitor the battery health and other details wirelessly....

When the Content-Aware Fill tools were added to Photoshop a number of years back, they were hailed as being the best thing since Photoshop itself was created. Now, with a couple of clicks, you could get rid of the stuff you didn’t want in your image and Photoshop would magically replace it with what you wanted. The reality was that it didn’t always do what it said on the tin, leading to the nickname “Content-Aware Fail”....

Well, Panasonic has a new announcement page ready for debuting what is expected to be the Panasonic G100 – a camera aimed squarely at vloggers. Whether or not the announcement page will have a live stream or simply a promotional video to coincide with the official announcement is currently unknown, but I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. What is quite interesting, though, is that 43Rumors is reporting that the Panasonic G100 will actually let you shoot vertical videos for things like Instagram Stories and TikTok....
