An Alphabet Photography Challenge Changed The Way I Shoot

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now. I never expected it to be this complicated and challenge my way of thinking about photography as much as it did. Such a simple concept with no expensive gear and no planning needed, yet doing an alphabet challenge with a disposable camera has changed the way I think about my photography. What could be easier than picking up a cheap, disposable camera and taking a photo for each letter of the alphabet?...

Aputure Finally Releases The Mc 12 Light Production Kit

Oh yes, you’ve all been waiting a long time for this one. Aputure has now officially announced the launch of the Aputure MC 12-Light Production Kit, initially debuted way back in April 2019 at NAB. It’s a case containing twelve Aputure Amaran MC LED lights, along all the associated hardware and bits to keep them all charged and ready to go at a moment’s notice. The kit comes, obviously, with the travel case, and the 12 lights, obviously, but Aputure says that the case is “slimmer and sleeker” than the original prototype case shown off last year at NAB....

Aurora Hdr 2019 Comes With New Ai Processing Engine And Lut Support

Skylum’s Aurora HDR software has been growing on me. When it first came to Windows, the performance wasn’t that great, and it didn’t quite have all the features of the Mac version. But it’s come a long way since then. It’s seen some pretty major performance increases, along with a lot of new features. And today, Skylum announces Aurora HDR 2019. It comes with the new AI-powered Quantum HDR Engine, which uses neural networks to quickly create more realistic looking HDR images....

Autel Announces Two New Series Of Drones Including A Tiny One To Take On The Dji Mini

Autel Robotics has announced two new series of drones, the EVO Lite and the EVO Nano, the latter of which is a sub-250g drone aimed at taking a share of the license-free market from DJI (and the recently announced Hubsan Zino Mini SE). Unlike the DJI and Hubsan offerings, though, the Nano comes with obstacle avoidance – a feature notably lacking in the other two. The EVO Lite series is a little larger (more like a DJI Mavic), weighing around 820g, with the world’s first 4-axis gimbal, resolutions up to 50-megapixels, sensor sizes up to 1″ and video capabilities up to 6K at 30fps....

Bad Wrap Is A Padded Waterproof And Posable Wrap For Your Camera Gear That Doesn T Need Velcro

This is an interesting piece of kit. It’s not the first product of its kind (nor the cheapest), but it does offer a couple of unique advantages. It’s called the BAD Wrap and they’re wraps for your camera gear. But these ones are padded, waterproof and hold their shape without velcro. BAD Wrap currently funding through Kickstarter, with pledges starting at $18 for the smallest one. It’s a neat idea and I’ve used microfibre cloths and velcro straps for similar uses in the past – usually to stop lenses from banging together inside my camera bag....
