A post has popped up on Nikon Rumors suggesting that Nikon is killing off some of their most popular DSLR lines. Specifically, the D3x00 and D5x00 series along with their “Pro” line of DX bodies, currently the Nikon D500. They say that they will “most likely” be replaced by mirrorless models. It’s a bit of a bummer, although not entirely unexpected, really, and this transition seems mostly limited to their crop DSLRs at the moment....

Nikon’s been long criticised for not having any decent kind of wireless control system since they switched from the optical CLS/AWL to the new radio system with the Nikon SB-5000 speedlight in 2016. With the optical system, Nikon shooters had the relatively inexpensive SU-800. Radio wireless hasn’t really had any option besides buying a spare SB-5000 to sit on your hotshoe as a commander. Well now, that’s changed as Nikon announces their new and weird WR-R11a and WR-R11b pair of radio triggers along with a WR-T10 remote controller....

Like many things in life, there’s no right or wrong way to learn photographic lighting… but I do believe there are easy ways and hard ways to not only understand it, but more importantly get better at it. I think every creative discipline evolves, but photography sees more significant jumps in its evolution due to it being so uniquely tied to technology. Every frame we capture is taken with a camera and that camera technology is evolving on a daily basis....

The United States Senate is subjecting the press to unprecedented restrictions as Donald Trump’s impeachment trial is scheduled to begin next Tuesday. There will be no cameras allowed and no audio recorders, which will make it impossible for the press to cover the event. Okay, I think the selfie-craze has gone too far. The doctors at Clinical Center in Niš, Serbia have recently shocked the public with a set of selfies taken in the middle of a surgery. They proudly posted the photos on their Instagram accounts and caused a massive public outrage on social networks. In December 2017, the Clinical Center in Niš was moved to a new, larger and modernized building. According to Politika, some of the first surgeries were performed at the end of December....
