OnePlus has now officially announced their new OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones containing cameras co-engineered with Hasselblad. OnePlus says that the new OnePlus 9 series represents a “major leap forward” in their ability to deliver premium flagship cameras in smartphones. They say that they’ve been working with Hasselblad through a close R&D collaboration to deliver “vastly improved camera systems” on the OnePlus 9 series and future OnePlus smartphones....

Panasonic is set to launch some new firmware on November 19th for both the G series (GH5/GH5S/G9) cameras, as well as their full-frame S1 and S1R mirrorless cameras. The firmware updates offer some nice functionality for all models, but most interesting is the addition of 10-bit 4:2:2 4K video to the G9, bringing it largely in line with the GH5 in terms of video. The S1 and S1R feature a dual XQD and UHS-II SD card slot arrangement....

A year and a half ago we picked up a story off of NBC, where a couple (the Moldovan) claimed that their wedding photographer (Andrea Polito) held them hostage unless they paid extra charges for album cover (you can read our original story here). That was a big story, and the unique situation spread through the media like a wildfire. It was picked up by all the major photography blogs, some major non photography blogs and a few other media outlets....

I equally admire photos of wild animals and abandoned places. Russian photographer Dmitry Kokh brought them together and created a stunning photo series. He photographed polar bears at an abandoned weather station in the Arctic, and they look like they were made in the post-apocalyptic world.Advertisements When traveling to the Russian Arctic, Dmitry and his expedition were passing near the Kolyuchin Island in the Chukchi Sea. They spotted the abandoned buildings, but there was some movement around them....

It’s not common anymore that I come across photos on Instagram, especially those that stop me in my tracks. But when it happens – oh boy do I get amazed! One of the people who always blows my mind with his images is Andrew McCarthy, and it happened the other day with his latest image of Mars and the Moon. The celestial objects were perfectly lined for a shot that looks like it was taken from the Moon....
