We often joke that people complain a lot about certain camera manufacturers or the cameras themselves. Whether it’s overheating issues, terrible autofocus or a host of other things that don’t quite live up to the marketing hype, complaints are common. But what are the most complained about cameras out there on the market today? Well, the folks at Electronics Hub decided to find out. In a recent study, Electronics Hub studied thousands upon thousands of tweets that mention popular tech products and gave each of them a score based on how many complaints they had received....

Bokeh balls. I wasn’t aware that was a phrase but apparently, it is, according to this rather amusing video by Kai and Lok. In the video, they are having a look at two admittedly wildly different lenses, both with the feature of having very wide apertures and seeing what the bokeh is like for each of these. For those of you who may not know, bokeh is the out of focus fuzzy parts of the image....

And we’re not talking iPhone Portrait Lighting mode here. This is light actually recorded on-set, that can be adjusted and changed in post. It’s a bit like how you can relight objects in 3D software, but there’s no 3D software in use here, this is all captured in-camera, thanks to Isolite. It’s a new series of light modifiers being funded through Kickstarter. Describing itself as “The World’s First Intelligent Light Modifier”, Isolite claims to actually let you turn lights on or off in post....

There’s a whole lot one can do with Photoshop these days to put your subjects into any environment we wish. But, for me, nothing beats the authenticity of shooting on location. It seems Ben Von Wong feels the same way. For his latest project he took his model, Tau, and crew out into the middle of Hawaiian lava fields. The project is part of Ben’s work to raise awareness for climate change, and to give back to those who have been victims of natural disaster....

“You’re never too old for fairy tales.” Led by this thought, photographer Savannah Kate Morgan turns all our favorite fairy tales into gorgeous images. She recreates the tales using her camera, Photoshop skills, and lots of imagination. Scenes from Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Alice in Wonderland – they are only some you will see eternalized in these dreamy photos. And even if you haven’t read a fairytale or seen a Disney movie in a while – these photos will remind you of childhood, at least for a moment....
