One thing that seems to have become quite popular over the last year or two is colourising black and white photos. We’ve seen lots of people manually colouring old black and whites to help provide more context and tangibility to historical images and we’ve also seen AI neural engines that claim to do it automatically to produce realistic results. But it wasn’t until Photoshop released a beta of their AI-powered Colorize Neural Filter that many started to take the idea of automated colourising of black & white photos seriously....

Well, this is odd. I stumbled across a leak from over the weekend about the new Samyang AF 24-70mm f/2.8 FE parfocal zoom lens for full-frame Sony E mount cameras and then spotted over on Mirrorless Rumors that it had actually been released… Except, strangely, it seems to have only been released in Thailand, of all places. What makes this particular lens special over other 24-70mm lenses out there is that it’s parfocal....

Shoot With Me has launched fully across the USA and Canada. The new platform serves to hook up photography assistants and second shooters with studios and wedding photographers. Claiming to be the “Air BnB” for photographers, the online platform offers a subscription-based model for anyone wanting to work as an assistant, a second shooter, or a lead photographer. Additionally, studios can look for and hire people when they need an extra set of hands....

It seems that the rumors around new Sigma lenses were true. At least partially though – because they didn’t launch two new lenses, but four of them. Sigma 14mm f/1.8 and 135mm F/1.8 Art prime lenses are accompanied by two zooms: 100-400mm f/5-6.3 and 24-70mm F2.8. Considering that it’s a Sigma Art lens that got the highest DxO Mark rating ever, you might want to consider buying one of the new Art lenses if you’re looking to add these primes or zooms to your gear bag....

The new Z and RF mounts on the Nikon Z6/7 and Canon EOS R have been a big deal for a lot of people contemplating making the switch. This is especially true for owners of F or EF mount Sigma Art, Contemporary and Sport Series lenses. Sigma has now done some more testing and updated the compatibility lists for both cameras using the Nikon Z to F & Canon RF to EF lens mount adapters....
