A few days back we reported that the Sony A9 has been getting overheating reports. The issue has been getting a nice amount of attention both because overheating is not a first for Sony, and also because the A9 is a $4,500 camera. So far, the reports have been focused on the fact that the overheating indicator is turning on. I have yet to see a report showing that the camera shuts down....
Olympus might take the mirrorless sales crown in Japan, but Sony once held the top spot and is looking to come back with vengeance. It’s newest weapon is the much anticipated Sony a6300, a brand new mirrorless camera that packs in 24-megapixels, incredibly fast autofocus and 4K video capability, all for only $1,000. At the heart of the new a6300 is a 24-megapixel CMOS APS-C sensor with copper wiring, which is said to improve the light collection efficiency and improve readout speeds....
These days, there are a lot of modifiers out there for speedlights, but this is certainly amongst the more unusual ones I’ve seen. It’s the “Dualflash” and it’s about to launch on Kickstarter. What it essentially does is turn your single speedlight into two. Kind of. It splits the output into two separate sections, but its practical uses seem fairly limited. Like most speedlight modifiers, it slots over the head of the flash and then holds on with a velcro strap....
The original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera was named such because it could relatively easily fit in your pocket.
