On 23 May, the first 60 SpaceX’s Starlink satellites were successfully launched into orbit. They were caught on camera and they look spectacular while orbiting around the Earth together. However, the ultimate plan is to launch nearly 12,000 of these satellites. Have you wondered how it will affect the night skies? Astronomers are concerned that they will pollute the night sky, and astrophotography is only one of the areas that could be hindered by this many satellites in the orbit....

How far people would go for a selfie probably shouldn’t surprise me anymore. However, they seem to constantly push the boundaries. Earlier this month, a baby dolphin was stranded on a busy beach in Spain. Curious tourists passed the poor animal around to take photos with it, instead of contacting the authorities. Eventually, the dolphin died, due to a high level of stress. A marine wildlife rescue group Equinac shared the news, and strongly criticized the people for their acts....

Capture One has released a powerful update to Capture One 22. The improved version features a re-envisioned keystone tool, an array of feature updates with expanded capabilities, and Apple silicon performance advancement that brings a host of substantial speed improvements. Many new people who find my work today, think my lighting is simply inspired by me watching a couple of modern films. Either that or I get asked which photographer inspires me the most. The truth behind my lighting and colour inspiration is routed far further back than that though, and not even by cinematographers or photographers at all. Although I’ve never consciously tried to be inspired by this, my best guess assessment of what inspired me and my work all those years ago was in fact not a photographer at all, but rather a comic....
