Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is one of my favorite photo contests. While I don’t photograph wildlife myself, images from this contest never fail to put a smile on my face. If you’d like to put a smile on someone’s face and get some neat awards too, Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is now open for entries. But other than sharing information on how to enter the contest, they’re also giving away extra giggles with some hilarious animal images....

This one’s been rumoured for a long time, but the most recent leak at the end of August suggested an announcement date for either October 2021 or January 2021. I think from a business standpoint, October is more likely, given that nobody will be buying them up as Christmas presents in January, but now the entire specs appear to have leaked, suggesting that an official announcement may be imminent. The leaks come via Twitter user @JasperEllens and the website DroneDJ, showing the complete specifications for two new upcoming DJI Mavic 3 drones....

Do you tend to procrastinate when there’s work to be done? I believe many of us were taught that we shouldn’t do it, so we feel guilty when the work keeps piling up, and we do nothing about it. I’ve stumbled upon an interesting video which shows that procrastination isn’t necessarily bad. In fact, it might even be good for some creatives. This is one of those subjects in the photography world that is strangely controversial – like Nikon vs. Canon, DSLR vs. Smartphone and Prime vs. Zoom … the idea that you should delete your sh!t – or in other words – why you might want to permanently delete most of the photos that you’ve ever captured (on purpose)! A patent recently approved by the US Patent and Trademark Office details how Facebook wants to read your emotions. And it wants to do it using your on-screen keyboard. It’ll look at what and how you type to try to determine how you feel about a piece of content. The goal is to be able to bring you more suitable content that you might like to see. Still pending, though, is another patent application, also dealing with “reading emotions”....
