Fujifilm has announced that it is ending production of both 35mm and 120 format versions of its PRO 400H colour negative film. In a notice posted to the Fujifilm website, Fuji says that it has become “increasingly difficult to procure the raw materials needed to produce PRO 400H”, so they’ve decided to drop it. It appears that in this case, they’re not just ending it because they can, but because of real logistical issues....

They’re affordable, lightweight, but also versatile: you can use them either as surfaces or backgrounds. Also, making these requires only a few components, yet you can be as creative as you like with colors and textures. I described these backgrounds as “2-in-1” because you can use a single board and paint it on both sides....
If you tend to create lots of crazy self-portraits as I do, a good technique to know is how to quickly change skin tone in Photoshop. Like the above image, one of my favorite things is to turn people into zombies. If you work for me its only a matter of time before you are in front of the camera, ready to be zombified! The trick is to start with the skin color and work it from there....
