Apparently I have a thing for making dragons. It’s not surprising, seeing as I grew up collecting them and have always been a proud fantasy-nerd. For those of you who don’t recall, I previously created a baby dragon in Photoshop from pictures of lizards, which you can check out here. I had so much fun doing it the first time, and apparently exploded a lot of brains with my creature-creating prowess....
I’m a middle aged, married, hetero, caucasian guy with two kids. I don’t get out much – so I was really intrigued when I booked a gig to photograph my first same sex wedding. The wedding was a small ceremony under a beautiful old beech tree on the grounds of the Grand Victorian B&B at Reif Estates Winery in Niagara On The Lake. This is the kind of venue that all wedding photographers dream about – it’s hard to take a bad picture here (and to top it off every course of the meal was paired with a different wine)....

He is an award-winning conflict photographer who covered Iraq War in 2003, as well as many other major events all over the world. But becoming a dad made him reexamine his priorities and change his view of the world. When he is on a task, it’s certainly different for him if he shoots fish underwater or people in a war zone....
At IBC 2019, we stopped by the Manfrotto stand to check out their new “Fast” series video tripods. There are two products in the new line. There’s the 635 Fast Single Leg and the 645 Fast Twin Leg. The latter looks more like your traditional video tripod, while the Fast Single resembles a photo tripod, but with a bowl head at the top for a video head. Both offer setup speed and low weight for their size as their big advantages....
For almost a year now I’ve been struggling to find passion in my photography, it’s my 7th year doing photography and this was the only time I really lost my passion for it, some of it was due to me never being able to capture something new because of school and work always taking up time, and some of it was me looking at others who do the same style of photography and being discouraged....
