Development of the OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 90mm f3.5 Macro ISO Pro (wow, what a mouthful!) was announced back in September 2022 in a road map update. The spot was actually allocated a year earlier, in September 2021, in a previous road map update. Until very recently, though, there was no real news on when we might hear an announcement. Then, a couple of weeks ago, that changed. OM System released a firmware update on January 20th for the E-M1 Mark II, E-M1 Mark III, E-M5 Mark III, E-M1X and OM-5 cameras....

You’ll have to forgive this post coming just a couple of hours before Panasonic is set to announce the shiny new GH6 but with the gear lust I’ve seen in Micro Four Thirds groups lately, it actually seems like some pretty fortuitous timing. Photographer Mitchell Kanashkevich just posted a video about gear and how it doesn’t matter. And, yes, we’ve all heard that before, “the best camera is the one that’s with you”, etc....

I’ve been a photographer from a very young age. I started photographing when I was 14 after being accepted to our local art school’s film department. Professionally, however, I started almost 10 years ago as a photojournalist for major Israeli news outlets. When I was 14, the first camera I got was a Ricoh. I later moved on to Nikon and have been with them ever since. Now, when attending or working at events, I keep my equipment very minimal....

This is a feature that Atomos Sumo19 owners have been waiting a long time for. But now Atomos has released the AtomOS 9.2 update for the Sumo 19 allowing you to record four different camera signals, mix them in realtime, and output five separate recordings simultaneously. Atomos calls the feature “Touch and Switch”, and if you have no idea what the big deal is, we spoke with Atomos Founder & CEO Jeromy Young about it, amongst other things, recently at IBC 2019 in Amsterdam....
