For those who haven’t heard of it before, “I’m Back” produces a range of digital backs for various analogue film cameras. After several successful Kickstarter campaigns in 2017, 2018 and 2019, I’m Back is, not surprisingly, back. This time they’re bringing the “I’m Back 35”, which offers compatibility with more camera models as well as manual mode shooting. Not surprisingly, the new version is up on Kickstarter and runs until May 31st....

Canon Portugal sent me a Canon EOS R with the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens for me to test. Unfortunately, it was only possible to keep it for a little over a week, but I still managed to make the first day of the MEO Mares Vivas Festival where I am the official photographer. The difference between 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 along with 8-bit vs 10-bit was a hot discussion back when the Panasonic GH5 was announced. It was the first small form factor camera to offer 10-bit 4:2:2 internal, and it confused a lot of people.
