The ISS has been in the center of many photo stories. Sometimes we’d see awesome photos taken from up there, and sometimes the space station itself would make a part of the composition taken from the Earth. Dr. Sebastian Voltmer pointed his telescope more than 400 km (250 miles) up to the sky, filming the International Space Station in real time. And he didn’t just capture the ISS, but even the spacewalk that was going on while his telescope was pointing up....

Most of you knows photographer Jason Rinehart for his light painting work. While he’s passionate about creating art with lights and long exposure, he is equally crazy about capturing nature’s natural light work: thunderstorms. While scrolling through Facebook recently, I stumbled upon a perfect example of Jason’s passion I didn’t know so much about. Photographer-owned brand Long Weekend has launched three colourful new camera bags. The new lineup includes the Beacon Tote, Monterey Sling, and a snug little camera pouch for your favourite point-and-shoot camera. The bags are aimed purposefully at the film shooter, but also straddle the digital photography world perfectly. Long Weekend was started in 2021 by photographers Willem Verbeeck and Allison Simon. They wanted to create a fresh new gear brand that was inspired by epic road trips, shooting film, and slowing down to take it all in....

Do you enjoy vintage photos from the mid-20th century? Photographer Michael Paul Smith has a vast collection of such photographs. They show the world as it was from the 1920s to 1960s – but they were all made using model cars and model buildings he makes himself. His photos are so masterfully done, you would never say those cars and houses aren’t real. Michael uses model cars and builds model houses to recreate the scenes from a fictional place Elgin Park....
