This is interesting for your iOS folks. There’s a new Kickstarter in town for something called the HyperCube. It’s an interesting little device that sits in between your phone’s charger cable and the USB socket and provides a microSD slot as well as a USB slot for plugging in a hard drive, SSD or flash drive. When it hits retail (which won’t be for a while), it’s going to be $49, although it’s as low as $29 right now through the Kickstarter campaign....

I really don’t know what to make of this one. It’s either a stroke of genius or absolutely ludicrous. I’m talking about Lenscapt, which is a new type of lenscap for DSLRs, mirrorless and other cameras. It’s being funded through Kickstarter and at first, I thought it seemed pretty daft. The Lenscapt precludes the use of lens hoods and some filter systems, but then I got thinking a little more about who could get some use out of it....

On 20 July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon. It was long believed that his reflection in Buzz Aldrin’s helmet was the only photo of him from the entire Apollo 11 mission. However, a rare print showing Armstrong is now on auction, expected to fetch up to $30,000. The 70mm photo shows Neil Armstrong packing the bulk sample on the Modularized Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA) table during the first-ever lunar extravehicular activity (EVA)....
