Suddenly, companies didn’t need to send photographers to far flung corners of the globe any more. It became easy to license photos at microstock sites from those who had already been there on holiday and taken a few good quality snaps....

Accsoon, a company more traditionally tied to wireless video transmission systems has just announced its newest device. It’s the Accsoon SeeMo and it’s basically an HDMI adapter for your iPhone or iPad that lets you turn it into an on-camera field monitor, complete with all of the usual features like zebra stripes, histogram, waveform, focus assist and even a built-in record feature. This isn’t the first HDMI to USB adapter that the company has announced, having previously released the Accsoon M1 earlier this year, which offers similar functionality for Android users....

There’s something very special about Scotland’s wilderness. It has a landscape like few other places in the world. Dutch photographer Tom Kluyver decided to visit Scotland for himself recently, along with his friend designer, Matthijs van Leeuwen. The pair spent a week exploring some of what Scotland has to offer, and decided to document the trip with film. Specifically, Tom chose a Hasselblad XPan 35mm panoramic camera loaded with Kodak Portra film....

PurplePort, a website connecting photographers to models, has decided to ban machine-generated images. While sites like Flickr are embracing the new technologies, PurplePort considers them “deceitful” and as something that “doesn’t help the community.” It doesn’t matter which service or machine learning algorithms you use to create your images: Midjourney, DALL-E, Craiyon, Stable Diffusion, or anything else. If you upload them on PurplePort, they will be removed. The site notes that they’re banned “until further notice,” and they even invite the community to report such images....
