First reported by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the country’s highest court ruled on Friday that it is now illegal to fly drones with attached cameras in public places as they qualify as surveillance cameras. It’s a huge blow to Sweden’s hobbyist drone community. Hobbyists in Sweden are understandably upset, and the initial reactions are about as would be expected. Now, to fly a drone on public land would require a CCTV permit as if you were monitoring a camera mounted on a pole in a city centre....

Teased last October and released in November, the Godox M600D marked a new era for Godox and a new level of quality over their typically lower-end LED lights. Now, Godox has expanded the range by adding four new lights, the M200D, M200BI, M300D and M300BI. As the names suggest, the lights come in 200W and 300W powers in either daylight only or bi-colour flavours. It’s obvious from the prices that these aren’t your typical Godox LED lights, which usually run in the low-to-mid hundreds of dollars....

If you have done that already (or don’t wanna read something else) get ready to have your socks knocked off because we are flipping them into vertical space and animating our light paintings all with stop motion. I’m going to break with tradition a bit, for I usually am not one to talk about celebrities that I keep in touch with from photoshoots. Some of this comes out of professional courtesy, and another part of it is that I am a bit of a private person However, a current project and fun day in the studio has made for some new images and behind the scenes video that I think you will all enjoy....

With the heat of August, I thought that nothing will beat making a small beach set photo in the chill studio. In this product shot, I am going to use three lights to simulate outdoor sunlight for a small scale product octopus attack shot. I am going to use a Miggo Splat , a small stand which kinda looks like a 5 armed octopus. Given this similarity I decided to make a light hearted photo using an action figure I own....
