It seems that Microsoft aren’t the only ones who’ve been working on a control dial you can use on a display. At CES2017, Dell introduced what it claims is the “world’s first horizontal smart workspace”. It’s called the Dell Canvas, and it’s a 27″ 2560×1440 resolution touch sensitive display. Dell also announced a new 32″ 8K desktop monitor capable of displaying 1.07 billion colours. It has 100% coverage of both the AdobeRGB and sRGB colour gamuts, but it’s not cheap....

There are plenty of misconceptions about the number of pixels, resolution, image size and so on, which can make us quite confused sometimes. To make things worse, the terms DPI (dots per inch) and PPI (pixels per inch) are often used interchangeably, which makes the understanding even more difficult. Essentially, DPI is important for printers. It’s a number of color dots printer uses to reproduce colors of the image. It’s also used for screen resolution, although PPI can also refer to screens as well....

Hasselblad has announced the latest innovation in their range of aerial cameras. They have introduced their latest model, Hasselblad A6D-100c, a 100MP medium format aerial camera. It’s built upon its previous models, but with improved features and higher resolution. Hasselblad A6D-100c features a 100 MP CMOS sensor and the ISO range from 64 to 12,800. It’s available with or without Infra-Red filter for infra-red captures from 750nm to 1000nm. This can serve the needs of aerial analysis, such as environment surveying and crop management....
