Panasonic has just announced two new lenses for its Lumix S series. These L-mount lenses are designed to work with full-frame mirrorless cameras like Lumix S1 and S1R, but of course, they can be mounted on any L-mount camera.  Let’s check out the specs and details.

Panasonic already launched a 70-200mm L-mount lens, but with the maximum aperture of f/4. The Lumix S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S. is a faster lens with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. It’s suitable for portraits, events, maybe even sports. On APS-C models, it provides a 105-300mm equivalent focal length range. Here are the specs: The Panasonic Lumix S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S. is available for preorders at the price of nearly $2,600 ($2,597.99 to be exact). Shipping is expected to begin on 16 January 2020.

The Lumix S PRO 16-35mm f/4 is a wide-angle zoom designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. When used on APS-C models, it provides a 24-52.5mm equivalent focal length range. This versatile wide-angle lens features a constant aperture of f/4 throughout the zoom range. It’s suitable for landscapes, street photography, astrophotography, events, even creative portraits… You name it. For me personally, this is the focal length range I use most, but that’s just my two cents. Check out the specs: The Panasonic Lumix S PRO 16-35mm f/4 is ready for preorders and it costs $1,497.99. It’s expected to start shipping on 13 January 2020.
